Can I get WorkAdventure as a desktop app?

Yes. WorkAdventure is a progressive web app (PWA), so your browser can install it as an application with its own window and its own icon.

To install it

1. Open your WorkAdventure space in Chrome, Edge or Safari on your computer.
2. Open the installation screen from the menu, which shows the steps for your browser.
3. In Chrome and Edge, you can also use the install icon at the right-hand end of the address bar. On macOS, use Safari’s File menu and choose “Add to Dock”.

Firefox on desktop does not support installing web apps. Use WorkAdventure in a regular tab, or install it with Chrome, Edge or Safari.

Installing WorkAdventure also improves day-to-day reliability. Notification sounds are allowed to play as soon as the window opens, and the space is less affected by the energy saving rules browsers apply to background tabs. See why WorkAdventure disconnects when its tab is in the background.
